if I am not mistaken I think humus is a great way to get protein as long as it's pure. The chips I'd have to do a little research.

Edit: here's the nutritional facts

Nutrition Facts
Serving Size: 0.25 oz / 1 appetizer

Amount per Serving

Calories 233 Calories from Fat 9

Protein 7.74g 15%

I'm not liking them chips, a lot of useless calories and salt. I guess if you have no other ways of geting carbs then sure, but I personally wouldn't eat them.

hummus is a dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. It is a popular food in various local forms throughout the Middle Eastern world.

As I understand it Pita chips are just Pita bread, cut up and brushed with oil then baked for 5-10 minutes right? The do however have a lot of added Salt.

To get around this you could make a healthier homemade version. Where you take wholemeal Pita, brush very ligtly with olive oil and add crushed garlic, basil, black peppercorns and either forego the salt or add a tiny sprinkling instead. Should be much better that way.

you can even skip the olive oil on your homemade ones if you want. If you break them up into 4 quarters and toss them in the toaster for a few tehy come out great
