Just remember at age 14, you should not be lifting for max and a lot of heavy weight. Take on weights that you can control and feel difficult but not like "oh my god! This is too heavy!"
I would prescribe eating good carbs in the morning for lasting energy and at night, after dinner have something that has higher protein and low to no carbs before bed to help the muscle tissue repair itself better.
Maybe some chicken, tuna, a couple eggs or some cottage cheese and also add some fat (walnuts, peanuts or almonds would do - no salt!) Even some peanut butter would work!
The fat helps slow the digestion so your body gets more out of the protein so to speak.
And ignore darthpotter - he was apparently born lookin like Arnold Schwarzenegger
