Default Cutting/Toning Question?

Hello, I didn't know the appropriate place to put this, so I put it in what it has to do with. But my question is should I do a bulking phase first or a toning/cutting phase I was thinkin I want to do a toning cutting first cause im not that far away from it to begin with, and I was thinking Id have more motivation to build muslce mass once i get tone... but idk if anyhting of this toning and cutting really alls i no is that i already have pretty decent sized muscles ha and always wanted to be ripped but at the same time i want to gain some muscle... so is either one better to do than the other first?

Hi mate,
It really is personal preference what you choose. If you think your muscles are big enough as you have said, and you always wanted to get cut, go with that. You can always cycle back onto a building phase later when you have cut down enough.
Choice is up to you...

Okay, Thanks man!! I think I'll do that then!! Which brings me to a few more questions... how exactly do you train to get tone/ripped looking?

To cut bodyfat you have to eat "slightly" less calories than the body burns off per day, increase cardio expenditure, and keep the intensity of your weight training high to help keep your lean body mass (muscle) which tends to disapear with low calorie intake..

Anything at all aerobic that raises the heart rate, swimming, cycling, skipping, HIIT, boxing etc just needs to raise the heart rate up and burn those calories away.

High intensity interval training (HIIT) is more effective at losing bodyfat than ordinary cardivascular training. Have a look at the cardio section in This Article to give you an idea of HIIT training
