I think you're confusing low impact with low intensity.

Low intensity, done at a slower pace (around 60% maxHR, normally) which means you can continue for a good duration without getting really breathless, or breathless at all, just sweaty.

Low impact, is the use of elliptical and such equipment, where the joints do not get a pounding, unlike with running and jump rope.

But in theory, you can get a low intensity exercise from jump rope, or jogging, if you slow the pace down, but it will still be higher impact. The elliptical can be used for low and high intensity workout, but with low impact on joints.

What about riding a bike (the real kind) my fav thing to do ever

Wind in your hair, scenery, the great outdoors, explore...

Easy on the joints, set your own pace. Great way to get hiit training or you can puts around saying hello to the neighbors.

Shoot now I can't wait for my ride here in a few.

Bike, as in the real kind is perfect, for more reasons than you mention; you need to stablise too, on a stationary bike you don't have to do this. Enjoy!! But watch for the 'idiots' on the road
