Hey, I went to the gym today with some sore abs thinking I could work through it. However, I got to thinking If my abs are still sore does it mean the muscle is still recovering and growing from my previous work out two days ago? I decided to hold off on working them out until i knew for sure what to do. Thanks for the help.
If they are still sore then don't work them.. After a while your abs will become more used to the training and you will be able to work then 2/3 times a week.
I have read into this before but.. how soar wil lthey have to be to decide not to train them? i always have a little ache in my tri's every monday before i do shoulders/tri's...
maybe its because i do heavy chest on thursdays... they rest for 2 days then i work either a saturday or a sunday and it involves moving heavy boxes/pallets, picking up boxes etc..
I normally work my abs using the recommendations in the article that Doug alludes to above, however I noticed a machine which appears to do the same motion as cable crunches, however you sit on a seat and there's a pad which goes across your chest and you bend over moving your head towards your knees.
