I like to alternate between both bars personally. I never heard of a drag curl though.

The EZ bar is easier on the wrists then the normal barbell curl.

The drag curl is a bicep curl but instead of bringing the weight up in front of the body, the bar is "dragged" up and kept close to the body, the same as the bar goes down.

Its for building muscle on your biceps not purely strength, you can hurt yourself if you've got a big ego and use too much weight cos it puts alot more stress on the bicep than normal, use abit less than you would use for a normal curl imo and you'll be fine, probably a good move to use in your workout.

Any bicep curl is beneficial in muscle hypertrophy. Drag curls give some variation to normal training. The drag curl will not allow the normal shoulder involvement that comes from forward elbow movement that you see people doing when performing their curls with a weight that is to high.

I prefer ez bar every workout and may do inside grip for 2 sets of 6 and outside grip for 2 sets of 6.

I will use an olympic straight bar (like on the bench) and use a wide grip and do drag curls with that maybe one out of every 4 bicep workouts.
NOTE: It does give you a whole different feeling on the bicep and I do not recommend this to anyone at the beginning stages of lifting - form is crucial to get the benefit of the movement - if you start rocking or swinging it is definitely going to hurt your wrists or elbows.
