Of course I am a hard gainer... At 6'4" and skinny, I've been working out on and off for a year and I'm still this thin... I am going to step up the calorie intake with a weight gainer. I can't possibly increase the amount of food I'm eating by too much, so I'm going to supplement it.

Just being 6'4" and skinny doesn't necessarily make you a hard gainer. If you estimate is correct at about 2000-2500 calories daily, and you're usually pretty active (know you mentioned hockey), your not eating enough for even a mesomorph (a person with more average metabolism) to gain. Going by the BMR calculator on this site, your BMR is around probably 2900 calories Rather than assuming you're a hardgainer, use the calculator, and try to consume about 500 calories more than it indicates. You may be suprised at just how quickly you can gain if you're getting in the proper amounts. I have to eat about 1000-1200 calories over my calculated BMR daily to make my weight change at all. You may find you have it easier than that.

The weight gainer is a good solution if you just want something really calorie dense, so it should work for you... I would also follow the words of the others who have responded previously; try to find real food items to get the majority of your nutrition. The gainers get expensive, and they're not doing anything that the right foods cant do for you.

It states 3200 calories per day. 2900 if I select the lesser active choice. I do fall in between I would say.

I bought quickmass today, I'm going to add it to my existing diet. But I am going to try and include more trail mixes, eggs, etc to my diet as well.

Have someone that knows how to cook teach you how to cook rice. Or just youtube a video of how to do it, or tell the guys at the store how to use it or if its broken. Rice is pretty important for your diet so just ignoring it because you don't want to learn how to cook it is pretty stupid in my opinion. I'm not trying to offend you or anything but stop putting excuses for yourself and learn to cook the rice lol it's really not that hard.

It's more about me being funny, cause really it's strange. Rice hates me, even if I follow directions perfectly, it some how burns lol. I think I may have a bunk rice cooker. I understand what you're saying, and you're right. I do eat rice, just mostly at my girlfriends house.
