Default workout + diet = gaining weight?

I have been working out for a while, but recently took a couple of months off. Before working out I was hovering around 199-200 pounds and not going to the gym and eating kind of what I wanted.

I started Dave's 4-day fat loss routine and have been on it for about 10 days. I was real sore after the first week and a little sore during the second. So I know I am targeting and working my muscles. I am dieting pretty good. Haven't eaten any fast food/french fries, but not eating chicken and greenbeans every day.

After 10 days I have gained about 1 or 1.5 pounds. I wasn't gaining weight before. Is it possible to gain that much muscle mass? I'm not too worried about the actual weight. Just want to drop some fat and look better. Does my diet need work? Should I increase cardio to more than 30 min/4 days a week?

I'm just stumped that I would gain weight instead of lose it. If you have any questions I will be glad to help.

It is possible that the weight gain is an increase in muscle glycogen,
