It's definitely worth doing 15-20 minutes of cardio just to eat more, that is if you love eating as much as me... Plus, i think 15-20 minutes is just enough to feel "in-shape", but that's up to you aswell.

Quick question. When doing this exercise are you supposed to feel it mainly in your upper back or lower back?

When you pull the bar up against your body. Squeeze your back, feel your muscles, explore them.

I haven't really tried doing this exercise yet, but wouldn't you be at a high risk of hurting your lower back because of the position?

Not if you keep your back straight. It's important to keep strict form for a reason

Lats and upper back if performed correctly. Remember, squeeze your shoulders and you will feel your lats come into play.
