I just started the 3 day beginners routine while cutting with a 500 cal deficit. Should I still expect to make strength gains while cutting, or will my strength stagnate and possibly decrease? Thanks in advance.

While cutting you will be eating in a deficit of calories, and taking in less than you will require with the food.
You can gain a little bit of strength cutting, but only up to a certain point. Any strength you gain will probably be not much compared to eating in a surplus of calories. It is normal to not make much strength gains while cutting, and decreasing the weight CAN happen.
