if your barley starting, i wouldnt recommend any supps just yet, just eat eat and then eat, the only thing i would recommend is a good protein powder from MGN or ON, or maybe even a weight gainer

for good protein (post workout, early morning, etc) theres Pure Whey Protein Isolate. It's listed in the "best sellers" section in the online store. Start with a 2lb bucket and find a flavor you like. That stuff is pretty cheap and it's gotten good reviews, along with being the best seller on the site. If money isn't too much of an issue, I was very pleased with Syntha-6 protien. I just finished off the chocolate milkshake flavor and it was delicious.
Also get a good multivitamin. Alot would recommend Animal Pak, also listed in the best selling list. I just ordered a small amount recently, so I haven't personally started using it just yet. You could get an NO supplement, but it isn't necessary. If you do decide to, stay away from NO-Xplode (blue raspberry) cause it's absolutely disgusting. i've been able to stomach quite a bit, but I can't bring myself to drink that crap. haha. I can't say about the other flavors, but blue raspberry is just sour and bitter and doesn't really taste like raspberry at all. happy lifting. |

First post but I've been on M&S for over a year since I started lifting for college soccer last year (I'm now a freshman). Last year before picking up any weight I was a little over 170 but after consistent lifting and a solid diet I'm now at 185 with the same BF%. As long as you're training and eating properly you'll see gains. That's eating a lot of decent substantial food. Before starting on a protein powder I lived on milk and carnation instant breakfast. Great way of getting calories. Now I'm using MGN and I love it. Basically, look at your training and diet. Then use a supplement to "supplement" that.
Good luck man. |
