Growth hormone is released during sleep, so it's definately imperative to get enough rest. Personally I've found that taking ZMA about an hour before bedtime greatly improves the quality of my sleep, it might be worth giving it a shot.

How are you staying up so long? Do you consume lots of caffeine? If so, I would cut as much of that out as you can.

I would try 2 Melatonin 30 minutes before you would like to fall asleep with the intentions of getting at least 7 hours (hopefully closer to 8).

Once you begin getting some rest, try to set a sleep schedule for yourself. Plan on going to bed at the same time and waking at the same time, regardless of if it is a weekday or weekend.

I've been an insomniac for years...infact I just got out of bed because I was tossing nad turning so much. I've tried Ambien, and the full spectrum of anti-depressants and still no sleep...I'm getting tired of it too. I work my ass off at the gym with either cardio or weights, there's no reason why I can't sleep and it's only getting worse. I feel your pain.
