Sounds like it's just muscle soreness from doing the curls, unless it's agony or intense pain which occurs when you do certain movements with the arm I wouldn't worry...most of us have been through it; 24-48 hours is the normal time for DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) to show itself...it should start easing off in a couple of days.

I'm willing to bet it's probably just stiffness / soreness from being new to lifting your muscles aren't used to the strain. Take a nice hot shower and stretch out the muscles, and take it easy. If they are still feeling that way by the time you are scheduled to work out next take an extra day off, training with soreness isn't good at all.

Good luck! The more you lift the less sore you will be in the long run, it's not like this everytime you workout.

I'm like super crazy ectomorph, I was around 120 lbs at the end of high school I recently started gaining weight but I'm up to 175 now and look pretty good. I'm no longer a stick! Actually happy with the way I look for the first time in my life.

The first post in this link has pictures of me at 160-165ish.

I have done this before. It took a few days to heal on it's own. This happened because I did not stretch before and after my workouts.

Thanks to this forum and it's members I am wiser.

Be sure to warm-up, Stretch, do a few light weight warm-up sets, Do your sets / reps, stretch after, and cool down.

I stretch between Sets now too.

These all helped me.

Good luck. Hope you feel better soon.
