Default Arms Lagging

Hey guys,

Been working out for over a year now (sorta),though there were a few periods where I couldn't work out for months at a time but regardless, I went from a tiny 155 lb first year university student and now standing at 6ft tall 180lbs, lean too.

Anyways, I have broader shoulders and a v body look but my arms seem pretty small compared to the rest of my upper body. I pretty much follow Doug's 4 day split routine, also making sure to change it up a bit.

Any tips on how to get those big biceps\triceps\forearms? If I just worked out my arms say twice a week and nothing else, would that help?

Welcome to the forum.

If you do not train consistently then you will most likely not see consistent gains.
Consistency is the key with the training and diet.

Most importantly, how is your eating?
Are you tracking your diet and eating more than you require for muscle growth?

Working out the arms twice per week would probably not be the answer.
Dougs 4 day split has great exercises for the arms, and what you need to do is back it up by eating more calories than you require to trigger some muscle growth.

How is the rest of your body growing in comparison to your arms?

Thanks for the welcome and replies guys.

I don't count calories or anything but since I made gains it must mean I'm eating enough doesnt it? I'll admit most of the time I probably don't eat enough.

And about not being consistent, I have to expect to lose 10lbs-15lbs after 2 months of tree planting, during may-july. last year I lost 10 pounds and heaps of strenght after the planting season but gained it back. That was only 2 months, this year I might do it for 4 months. After a day's work there's not much you can do but eat then sleep in your cozy tent lol So basically I gotta deal with losing a lot of muscle during that times, which sucks.

My diet is pretty clean, but I'm a student so my budget can't really handle a muscle building diet Most of my protein come from eggs, milk, homemade chili, whole grain bread, peanut butter, tuna, and spaghetti.

I'll try and post up a pic if I can.

Having a good idea on your calories is important, otherwise you may just over-eat or under-eat quite easily.
Check out the articles in this section regarding the diet for your goals.
