Ages 20-50 is 14-21%, so you are right on the cusp.
If you're 20 now, I'm thinking 16-17% would look great on you!

Thanks for the encouragement Tadolfi. I need it right now! Been working hard, and it is easy to get depressed when you think you are not making any progress.

Hi mate, Remember that "More is not better" so dont think you can do more, without adequate rest and recovery. Fat loss is not a race, your body will only allow a certain amount of fat loss per week, before taking defensive action against anything you might throw at it. You cant trick the body into giving more fat that it wants to, it will defeat any efforts to do so. Thats why many millions go on diets at this time of year, and a great proportion of them fail miserably

Thanks Doug. I have read most of your articles on weight loss, and I really appreciate all of your efforts and the time and information you share with all of us.

My body is certainly fighting me right now. At about 163 pounds, I really hit a plateau that was very difficult to break. I was stuck there for several weeks. Then I read your recent set of articles on the hormone that keeps us fat, and that really helped me push beyond the plateau, and I am now sitting at 160 pounds, finally breaking the 163 pound gridlock.

I'll keep at, slow and steady. 500 calorie deficit, LIT cardio before breakfast, weight training, and now I looking forward to my Sunday "cheat days"!

A pound a week is my hope, so in maybe 10-14 more weeks, I can be down to 150.

Thanks again!

Hi mate, glad things are moving again, good luck with the cutting

Dont forget that for every 5 lb of weight lost, you have to recalculate daily calorie requirements
