Default questions on the chest

i was wondering if the tricep is used during incline bench?
i know they are used in flat bench but what about in incline
the reason i ask is because i've notice my incline to be getting stronger and my bench is still the same, im currently working with light weight, but after 3 weeks of cutting i was able to increase the weight in incline but not in bench,

Any of your chest pressing motions will use some tricep power. The amount of tricep recruitment depends on the width of your grip. The closer your hands are to one and other, the more your triceps will be called into play. How many reps are you using for your flat bench???

Do you finish all your reps? If you do I'd suggest upping the weight. If you aren't going up in weights every week, it's no biggie, every two is fine, just so long as your progressing. To be honest I would go for a simpler routine, there should be no need for that swiss ball stuff with under a years training time.

Ok. It's a progression issue then. You said that you are using light weights. You should be using a weight that you struggle the last one or two reps on. Once you can push the weight 12 times or so, add more and aim for 8 or 10 reps. You also have to remember that it takes time. You cant expect to be a 300lb bencher in a few weeks when you are maxing at 150. Be patient my friend. Big lifts come in time.
