Default Dougs Ectomorph, candidate?

Quick Info, I ballooned to around 170 lbs last june (21% bf), from bad eating habits and Im now around 145lbs from intense cardio and am having a hard time bulking up healthy . I eat 3000 cals a day and it seems I cant add weight. I was wondering if you think the ectomorph training would be better for someone like me??

Ive attached a couple pics, so you can jude for yourself (I had to take them myself, kinda crappy pics , if you need more I can get more)

80lb barbell curlsx10
70lb skull crushersx10

a front pic would be nice to see your bone structure since you can't really judge that well form the pictures. But from your description of eatin 3000 calories a day and not gaining weight I would say you sound like an ectomorph to me, but then again you did get all the way to 170 lbs in june so I don't know if an ectomorph could get there that easily. Not sure mate wish I could help but I can't even judge what group I fall into.

I'm not sure what the ectomorph training that you're referring to is? I'll have to go have a look for it.

Firstly, and without calling you liar, are you sure you're taking in 3000 calories? It's important to have a well maintained diet log book (in case you currently don't). It can be easy to get things drastically wrong with what we'd think would be the amount we take in, but really isn't.

You actually don't look too bad for mine. I certainly wouldn't call you 'skinny' based on those picks, but you aren't 'massive' either.

Thirdly, stop doing so much cardio if you want to bulk. It's not gonna help if you are an ectomorph. Alternatively, eat more to compensate for the cardio, but bear in mind this could tally another 1k calories requirement, if not more.
