I'm conditioning my body after not lifting in a long time.
Saturday I did legs and they have been really sore but a lot better today. Last night I did shoulders and arms with the same light weight I used on Sat. I feel a little tightness through my sholders, biceps are not sore at all and triceps only a little soreness, more like tendonitis than muscle soreness. Guess that's strain where the tendons attach to my elbows. Should I continue conditioning with the same weight for a few more rounds or would it be OK to add a little weight to shoulder/arm day? |

My recommendation is to stay at the current weight during the initial conditioning phase or at least just increase it very slightly. This phase was not created to get your muscles big. This one was created to get your forms right and your body used to the exercises. It'll be harder for you to get your forms right if you use a heavier weight. Also, if your body is too sore, you may give up too soon because you can't take the pain. There are too many people ended up like this because they didn't know better or because they were impatient.
