Default Number of Meals Per Day While Bulking

Is there any benefit to eating 6 meals a day rather than 4 slightly larger meals a day that have the same amount of calories, protein, etc. I know that eating 6 meals will boost your metabolism which will burn more calories, but is it right to assume that some people might not want to burn the extra calories (for example people who are bulking)?

6 a day keeps your body fed all day. If you eat less the body slips into a starvation mode which turns food into fat stores for use when it is not fed.

Bulking isn't the same as storing the calories as fat though. You don't want your body to slow down the metabolism and store the calories as fat by eating big meals.
