Default Any Idea's?

I have been doing a routine posted on this site for abouttt 4 months now and cannot see any kind of improvement, judge for yourselfs.

I have been bulking taking protein shakes as well as proper meals, resting a week every other month or so and getting plenty of sleep I cant see what im doing wrong here? Am I just expecting too much, do i need to wait longer?

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I am starting to get greatly discouraged

Zach

(The one where I am in jeans and Blue top is 4 months ago, the one where im in my green pants was taken today)

Are you pushing for progression of weight on every set? And how many calories are you eating every day?

I would guess you're undereating and not pushing for more weight.

That was my first guess too, I think Zack will figure it out through trial & error.

I havent been able to push up the weight because I train at home and have my dumbells and Barbell loaded to the max!

But im not really that big and would have expected to be able to get bigger when im lifting 40kg barbell and 15kg dumbells?

Are your dumbbell and barbell "Fixed" at those weights? Or can you buy more weight plates? (You usually can find them cheap on craigslist.com in your city or a city near by)

Yes other than eating big, challenging your muscles with a progressive overload is the 2nd most important thing to building your body as your body will adapt to using 1 level of weights.

If you cannot afford to get more weights or join a proper gym, then one last thing you can experiment with is changing your rep speed or slowing down your reps so that the muscle is under tension longer. But that usually is something young lifters do not have the patience for.

Good luck, I knew you'd figure it out!

Without progression it will be hard to make much progress. So either purchase more weight, or a gym membership.
