Whole grain is always your best option....it is not processed like other foods and stripped of its nutrients.

You will find that the case in brown rice, whole grain breads, etc.

Sweet Potatoes are better than white potatoes mainly because they pack more nutrients.

The typical rule of thumb is that brown foods are better for you than the whites.

Regarding Peanut Butter............Natural is 'better' because it does not have the added oils etc that are found in regular peanut butters.

Krema is a good natural peanut butter. I eat both natural and 'regular' (skippy)

Thanks BarryT,

You confirmed what i had thought...so that is good.

I did some label comparing on the PB and could not see much of a difference, so i have been eating just the regular PB, although I only have one tbsp a day

thanks again...

They also have more natural sugars making them ideal for post a workout meal.

One thing about sweet potatoes is that the sweet flavor is produced from an enzyme rather than having sugar content. It's a good food.

Careful with standard peanut butter, it's pure **** and i would not dump it into my system. It contains craploads of preservatives and SHORTENING, which technically is not even digestible. If yuor peanut butter does not have a ingredient list like this:

Ingredients: Peanuts.

then throw it at the window, or someone you do not like.

Don't eat white rice. It will make your insulin spike, it's worthless carbs. Brown rice should be your unconditional choice.

Both potatoes are good, though i personally have sweet potatoes more often. I have recently included white potatoes sparingly.

Very good advice by Diomedes many people don't know that natural peanut butter is so much better for you than the standard peanut butter. Rep+
