Default Daily Limits?

In another thread here, someone said that they are working out for 2 hours, every other day. One of the responses was that 2 hours was too much, and that your body will start burning muscle.

I am in a cutting cycle, and therefore will follow up my weight training with about 35-45 mins of LIT. Sometimes, the LIT + weight training time will approach 2 hours.

Is this too much in one go?

Should I split things up and do my LIT in the morning like I am supposed to do, but can't seem to fit in ?

My weight training routines (D4DS) will sometimes reach an hour, sometimes up to an hour and 15 mins, especially on Mon and Thu when I add my ab routine to the mix. Tue and Fri routines are lighter, and can go from 30-45 mins.

I try to add a LIT to each day, and then on additional day of LIT on the weekends.

Thanks!

DH

the 1 hour of working out applies for LIFTING and not for any cardio. Once you touch a weight, you want to weight lift for 1 hour max. Cardio doesn't add into the equation however. You shouldn't do cardio for over 1 hour aswell anyway.

Try to keep it to a hour of lifting and a half hour of cardio. If you lift for more than a hour, say 5 or 10 minutes more your not going to melt like some on this site would make you believe.

Does this 1 hour weight lifting recommendation include your breaks between sets and reps?

Yes most routines should be completed in an hour or less unless you have to wait for someone else or go to the bathroom etc. This includes rest between sets.
