If you workout that much, chances are you will be seeing no results. Seeing results is dependant on your training and diet. If one or both of these is not good, you may not experience much if any results. Gaining " alot " of muscle takes plenty of time, dedication and consistency with the training and diet. If all things are well with the training and diet, you could probably expect to see results by around the 6 week period. And as iiLeastii pointed out, taking before and after pictures is a great idea to track progress. Good luck.

Just to clarify what Scrutiny was saying, I think the reason he said you would be seeing no results is because working two hours a day is too much. after two hours, yoru body will start to feed on its own muscle from what I understand.
Also, I think you need a two day rest perior per week in yoru routiene to allow you body to reregulate and align itself. If your workouts are that consistant. then you body would just adapt to it and start feeding on its own muscle in a cycle. I would reccomend one hour, on monday, tuesday, thursday, and friday. Also, never work the same muscle more then once every 4 days But thats only if one muscle is lagging behind and you feel that muscle group could make allot of progress to catch up with the rest of you body. The above is just my opinion, most here will recommend only working a muscle group per week. and that should be your final goal. To work everything equally. .... at least that is the way I understand it..... Ok, im rambeling. But the point of the story is, two hours is just too much. and dont hit the same muscles workout after workout. You should have designated chest days, leg days, ect.... Rest days are for the system of the body as a whole. Specific muscle groups need more then 48 hours to recover. Last edited by Zenjamin; 01-15-2010 at 11:20 PM. |

On an average 1 kg of lean muscle per month is what you may achieve if diet, exercise and rest are good. Seeing results would be faster - because in a month or so, you should begin to see improved muscle tone, and better definition ( due to some fat loss) |

If you're diet is in order and you're actually getting results, you'll notice them in 4-6 weeks. They'll be very minor, but enough where you should definitely notice them. Other people might not be so quick to see them though, unless it's been a long time since you saw that person.

Agreed with the above, should be around 4-6 weeks to notice a change (albeit relatively minor). As for 'a lot of muscle', well that's entirely subjective. Also as above, change your workout routine.
