Default protein shake makes me drowsy abit?

when i take my Whey protein shake(with water, after workout), i feel drowsy after abit for like 15-20 mins but then its fine. is this a normal thing? cause im guessing from my common sense that its because its very heavy on your stomach, and because of how you feel tired after a big meal, the same applies for this as it is alot of protein all in one for your stomach?

How long have you been taking this drink?
Are you having dextrose in the drink, if so, how much?
How much protein (and anything else) do you have in the drink?

I've been feeling similarly. Weird.

I've been taking it for about 2 weeks too.

I take around 1.5 scoop of ON Whey Protein. The pre-workout shake gives me the ultra lazy/ drowsy bit.

Does it iron itself out with time?

I don't take dextrose. Its plain powder and water.

Does your pre-workout contain simple sugars, you may be suffering from low blood sugars whilst your train. Another cause may be that you havent eaten adequate calories prior to working out

No simple sugars. Just powder and wAter. Thinking of trying a lower dose. 1 scoop pre-workout, and 1.5 post. The drowsiness is a problem pre workout mainly.
