Default need advice on pre-workout routine

Hey everybody,
I want to start getting healthy and putting on some muscle (its the only way i can gain weight) but i dont have the means right now for a good muscle building diet. plus i have been pretty sedative for a while now. so i was wonder, for any of you that have used p90x, if you think it would be a good idea just to do the yoga and core strength videos to start. and then start working out when i have the means to eat the right diet.

I was thinking like yoga 2 days a week and core strength one day a week. and then doing a little cardio everyday. whataya think? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are a number of threads dedicated to P90X if you use the Search Bar above. I think if you sincerely believe that is all you can do then I wouldn't discourage you, but would ask you to look into what makes up a proper diet and nutrition. You will be healthier overall and it doesn't have to be expensive.

as for being sedative, an exercise routine will actually give you loads more energy!!! Also, a good diet isn't exactly expensive, the problem is people lack the motivation to do all the work to get it right!

My advice, start a routine. I would pick one off this site for free rather than paying for P90X personally. With the initiation of an exercise regime energy will start to come. With the energy will come interest and with energy and interest you have the building blocks to a healthy addiction. Good luck, and take some before pics to give you some reminders along the way!!!

Jiggedy Joe Moe, I love this:

"With the initiation of an exercise regime, energy will start to come. With the energy will come interest and with energy and interest you have the building blocks to a healthy addiction."

This is so true... I will be using this as a quote for anyone knew to weight training. Thanks.

what do you currently eat now...if you like:

chicken breast
pork chops
brown rice
whole grain pasta
peanut butter
milk
water
frozen vegetables
eggs

you can build a VERY solid diet
