Regarding HR monitors and Exercise bikes. Your body will adjust to doing cardio on the bike pretty quick. There is a massive difference between a gym bike and being on the road. I can pretty much go full steam on a gym bike and never get my heart that high, certainly not out of fat burning range and i struggle to keep it in there. If you can get out onto a proper cycle. The difference is amazing.
