From what I've read, L-Glutamine is great for use during periods of a caloric deficit (cutting). The idea is that it assists the body in retaining hard earned muscle mass as weight (fat) is dropped.
So, L-Glutamine will not inhibit fat loss, but can possibly inhibit muscle loss, which would be a good thing.
