Hi...

Fibre is the part of the carbohydrate food that is not digested by the body for energy, it mixes with water and is passed through the bowel undigested and so keeps the bowels clear.....

Complex carbs are carbohydrates that are slow digesting and do not cause an fast increase of high blood sugar. When you take in simple carbs the body has to release insulin to lower the blood glucose levels, which can cause a low in energy, and storage of the sugars in the fat stores.

Simple carbohydrate foods include: Watermelon, Dried dates, Instant mashed potatoes, white potato, Parsnips, Instant white rice, processed breakfast cereals, bagels, french fries, white bread, white flour products, biscuits, cakes,

Complex carbohydrate foods include: Oats, oat bran, sweet potato's, whole grain breads, wholegrain cereals, oat bran breads, some fruits, brown rice,
