Default Chest & Tris or Chest & Bis

I have noticed a lot of advice on regarding a split routine that encourages chest and biceps on one day. Devising my own splits currently, I have put together chest and triceps, on the basis that tris are synergists in the chest exercises, and so I can achieve total fatigue by also isolating these muscles in other exercises.

What are the benefits of chest and bis?
