How do I take creatine?
Creatine is best taken with simple sugars such as in grape juice or with a small amount of dextrose in water. Many people prefer to take it with warm water as creatine requires heat to be properly absorbed. Creatine should be taken immediately on mixing with your preferred drink. The general consensus is that about 3-5 grams (a heaped teaspoon) of creatine should be taken pre AND post workout. Pre to load up the muscles during workout so that the creatine can be readily used and post to replenish the creatine lost during the workout.
