I started weight training in order to be in better shape for Ultimate Frisbee. The sessions that I sweated through at the gym helped me to become a double European Champion for club and country in 2007, which turned out to be my final competitive year. Having retired from Ultimate at the ripe old age of 26, I decided that I needed another activity where I could use my competitive spirit and hit the gym with renewed vigour and dedication.
I'd always shied away from bulking up too much, as I didn't want to slow myself down on the pitch. Now that's no longer a concern, and I have sorted out my diet, I have bulked for most of the year and gone from 150 lb's in February, to 208 lb's at my heaviest in October. Currently cutting, but will be bulking again soon. Eventually, I would like to compete at a Natural Show, but with my wedding next year that will have to wait until at least 2011. Plenty of time to pack on the muscle!

Hello al,
I was wondering if you could help me find a good routine for ultimate frisbee?
I've been playing for a few years and started getting competitive and I've noticed my low weight is not helping when biding for discs or tryign to make high air contended catches. I'm 5'10 and weight about 135lbs. I'm trying to find something to build strenght as well as the explosiveness/agility needed for the sport.
Would appreciate any advice, thanks =D
